On February 28, 2012 the West Virginia Human Rights Commission, the Governors office, the WV Division of Culture and History and WV State University sponsored the 9th annual Civil Rights Day. The event was held on the State Capitol Complex at the Norman L. Fagan West Virginia State Theater. The day honored 24 individuals who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of justice and equality in civil and human rights. The Commission would like to thank everyone who made this event possible.
