2012 Poster Contest Winners Announced

The West Virginia Human Rights Commission Staff and Commissioners voted on entries submitted by West Virginia middle school students for the agency's first ever Fair Housing Poster Contest.  The winning entries were from Saints Peter and Paul Middle School in Oak Hill, WV.

First Place - Teagan Blankenship
Second Place - Cameron Heeter
Third Place - Trey Hart
Honorable Mention - Andrew Ash

Cash prizes were given out in the amounts of $100 (First Place), $75 (Second Place), and $50 (Third Place).  The winning school also received $100 for school supplies.

The Commission would like to thank the Fair Housing Contest sponsor for this year, the West Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Human Rights Workers, for its support and participation.

The Commission would also like to thank each and every student who sent in an entry.
